Dynamic on-demand tunnels

Dynamic on-demand tunnels

- [Instructor] In this lesson, we're going to talk about dynamic on-demand tunnels. Now they're kind of important because there's multiple advantage to them, such as we could reduce network traffic for the maintenance and the management of those site to site tunnels when there's not a lot of traffic that might occur with them, right? So why are we going to maintain the traffic within those sites, especially if we're using metered WAN circuits? The other thing is it will reduce the amount of memory and CPU usage on a Edge device, and it will also allow you to help overcome limitations on smaller devices and the number of IPsec security associations that they can maintain. So when we talk about that, how does it actually work? So what happens is, first, we will go through the process of identifying the sites that we're going to configure as far as what will be dynamic on-demand. So they will not participate in the full mesh establishment that happens. Now, in addition to these sites…
