- [Instructor] In this lesson, we're going to talk about device authentication to our edge devices and vManage. Now edge device authentication consists of the same controls that you have access to with iOS xe. You can use a local user database, you can use TACACS, or you can use Radius. Now the AAA feature template is going to contain the edge device authentication profiles. So, within that we can define TACACS or Radius groups, which will reside in the feature template, which specifies the VPN instance that we're going to originate or source the traffic from. In addition to the TACACS Radius servers are going to be associated to the TACACS Radius groups. And then we can also store our local edge user credentials and the order of operations that we'll actually go down to try to use successful authentication is defined here.
