Speeding up a shot in After Effects

- After Effects offers several different ways to control how a shot plays back. You can modify the clip itself or change it within your composition. Let me show you a little bit of each. First up, if you feel that the clip isn't playing back correctly, you can select it up here on the project panel. Here, for example, I see that it's playing back at 15 frames per second. It's a smaller clip, but it's definitely still feels a bit slow. So what you can do is right click on it and choose interpret footage main. This allows you to assign a new conformed frame rate. For example, I can conform this to 29.97 for broadcast. When I click okay, it's going to change the speed of the clip. You'll notice that it actually got shorter here because it was sped up and that's fine. Let's put that into a new comp here by drag and drop. Another thing you could do to the footage is actually change it itself in the timeline. You'll…
