How can I use a null object to control animations in 3D space in After Effects?

- Null objects are invisible objects that can control other things. Think of 'em almost as a force of gravity or follow the leader. What we can actually do is tell other objects to parent to it. And, for example, if we turn the object in 3D space, the other objects react, as well. The null object lets us connect one layer to another layer. And this allows things to move around a bit. Let me show you the end result here. And you'll notice that what we've got is an animation that's arcing around an object. So it looks here like it's kind of rotating around something that could be in the middle or it has a point of an orbit to it. Well, that's all controlled by the null. In this case, that null object is just an invisible object, and you can see it's spinning in space there. So it acts a little bit like a gravity force as things change.
