Adding camera shake in After Effects
- Well, normally, we want to remove camera shake. Sometimes you may have a shot that looks a little too professional, or it just doesn't blend in with the other footage. Maybe it was shot stationary, but you need it to feel a little bit more active. Well, we can actually transfer the movement from one footage layer to another footage layer. What I want to do here is take a regular shot and make it look a bit more handheld. You'll see here, for example, that we just have a locked-off shot of video. But underneath it, I've layered another shot. In this case, I put a few stickies on the wall and just did a handheld camera with a bit of vibration and shake. Well, what we could do is transfer that from one clip to the other. So it's pretty simple. First up, I'm going to take this layer, shaken, and apply the warp stabilizer. That's going to analyze it.
