- [Instructor] The Remote Desktop Access tool allows you to use another Windows computer on the same network or over the internet. It's a marvelous utility, ideal for troubleshooting as it grants full access to the computer just as if the other person were sitting with you. Alas, it also poses a potential attack vector, especially when you're unsure of who the other person is that you just allowed full access to your computer. To prevent unauthorized access, I recommend that you disable this feature. Press the Windows + i keyboard shortcut to bring up the Settings app. Choose System if it's not chosen already, and then scroll down to look for Remote Desktop. In the Home version of Windows, you see a notice here that says Remote Desktop isn't supported. Otherwise, the screen looks like this. This master control turns the feature on or off.
