- [Instructor] Most dimensions and metrics are out of the box like demographics, geolocation, page names, screen names, and engagement timers, but you also have the ability to enhance your user segments by collecting and applying custom data points. As a side note, the good news is that for some customizations coding and site changes aren't required. As a reminder, when a user visits a page or screen, performs an action, or triggers a timer, all information is sent to Google Analytics as an event. In the reports and overviews, the event name is the first thing that shows up before you drill down further. In addition to that name, other information can be attached and sent along with it as perimeters. The event name, event, parameters, and metrics can all be used in segmentation tools.
