That's why RISC-V International was created as the organization that owns and maintains RISC-V. It was founded in 2015 as the RISC-V Foundation, and it's incorporated today as RISC-V International Association in Switzerland. It relies on its thousands of members across 70 countries to contribute and collaborate in technical industry domain and special interest groups. As a non-profit, RISC-V does not maintain any commercial interests in products or services, nor does it take any political position on behalf of any geography.
