Export the data behind a visualization

- [Instructor] Sometimes I'm looking at a visualization, and I think, "I'd really like to work with that data, perhaps, in a tool like Excel that I use all the time. I'd like to take the data and, perhaps, create a PivotTable or a PivotChart," whatever analysis I'd like to do, add columns, add formulas. So I'm going to show you how you take the data in a visualization and export it to Excel. I'm going to choose a very simple example, but it works the same for all of these other visualizations. The data that sits behind this map, we could go take a look at first, and we know how to do that, show it as a table. Here it is: postal code, whether it's a new store or the same store. So we'll get all of these data elements, but in a way we can work with them. So I'm simply going to click on the visualization and a small toolbar opens up that lets me pin the visual, which we'll do later on in this course, set an alert, check out the filters and slicers, focus mode, which lets us pop this out…
