- [Instructor] Now, it won't do any good to have content stored unless it can be retrieved, right? And to retrieve it, there needs to be some mechanism to search for it and find it. So all content management systems must have tools to address these needs. Most people are used to organizing files in folders. Now, I think that this is an inherently flawed model by the way. It's much too easy for things to get buried in multiple levels of folders, making your content hard to find it when you need it. And it also makes creating duplicates in different places a lot more easy. I'm personally a big advocate for using metadata tags as a way to classify and organize data. Most of the popular content management systems allow for tagging, although hierarchical structures are still the default in most cases.
