- [Instructor] The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines are based on four main principles. These principles are perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust. And they each have specific guidelines within them. Now, I'm not going to go over all of these guidelines, but I do suggest checking them out. I do think though, that it's important to take a look at what is meant by these principles, because they're very important concepts that you need to consider when trying to make resources accessible to everyone. The first of these principles is perceivable. Meaning that information and user interface components must be presentable to users in a way that they can perceive. In other words, adding things like alt text to images. So, someone who can't see is still able to identify what that image is of.
