Creative and powerful uses of the SEQUENCE function for quick list creation

- [Instructor] Excel's sequence function, introduced just a few years ago, is really a powerful tool. When I first saw this function, I thought, you know, I'm not really going to use this very often. On this worksheet, we see two references to it. We're not actually seeing the function just yet, but we're seeing a potential use of it. Imagine columns A, B, C, and D. We're going to be tracking sales for various items. The list might grow, it might occur daily, it might occur more than once in the same day, potentially it's going to be large and we want automatic IDs generated for these. Now I've seen situations where these might be 10 apart and here they're just one apart. And you might imagine some kind of a complex formula there, but when I click in cell A6, there's nothing there. You can look in the formula bar, these cells are all empty. But look what happens when I enter a date here in cell B6. I'll put in one slash, maybe it's on the 16th, maybe it's the following day here…
