Edit a conditional formatting rule
- [Instructor] After you create a conditional formatting rule, you can edit it rather than creating a new rule by itself. And in this movie, I will show you how to do that. My sample file is 0506 edit rules, and you can find it in the chapter five folder of the Exercise files collection. In this workbook on sheet one, I have a pivot table that has a data bar conditional format applied to it. If I want to edit that format, then I can click any cell that has the format applied to it, and then on the home tab of the ribbon click Conditional Formatting and then in that button list, the bottom item is manage rules. So I'll click there and the conditional formatting rules manager dialogue box opens and I can see show formatting rules for. This pivot table is currently selected. I can also select for the current selection, the entire worksheet, and other elements that will change, based on what you have in your own workbook.
