Deactivate and delete table relationships
- [Instructor] When you create relationships between tables in the Excel data model, you can create a pivot table based on that data as if it came from one source. In this movie, I will show you how to delete a relationship you no longer need, but also warn you what will happen if you delete a relationship that you do need. My sample file is 0904, delete, and you can find it in the chapter nine folder of the exercise files collection. In this workbook I have on sheet one, a pivot table that combines data from three fields and three tables. From the customer table, I have Customer Type, from the Products table, I have Product Category, and from the Orders table I have sum of Quantity. Let's see what would happen if I were to delete a relationship between two of the tables that I'm using. To show you what will happen, I'll go up to the data tab of the ribbon.
