- [Instructor] Most data lists you summarize using pivot tables will contain some sort of financial or personnel data. You'll often want to find the sum of the values in the list, but you're not limited to doing that. You can choose from several summary calculations and also have the ability to change the type of value shown in the data area. And in this movie, I will show you how to change those summaries. My sample file is 02_02_Summary, and you can find it in the chapter two folder of the exercise files collection. On sheet one of this workbook, I have a pivot table, and if I look over in the pivot table field's task pane, and if you don't see that, make sure that you have clicked a cell in the body of the pivot table, and then on PivotTable Analyze, make sure that field list is selected.
