- [Instructor] Now, to create interactivity on our dashboards, we want to use a pivot table technology called slicers, and then there's an associate one called a timeline. They're actually very similar, and I'm going to show those to you. Now, what I want to do here is I'm going to click anywhere in this pivot table here, and I'm going to go to pivot table analyze, and then over here, there's a button that says insert slicer. So I'll click insert slicer here. Now, note we are visualizing region. So typically, you would not want to add a slicer for something you're already visualizing. I'm going to have us do it anyway 'cuz I want to show you what happens. But ideally, you want to slice on things that you aren't currently visualizing. So I'll click representative in item. And I'll go ahead and click, okay. Note that the things I clicked on were also categorical data. So slicers do not work so well,…
