- [Instructor] There are more tools that we can use to access third-party application repositories and to run jailbreaks depending upon the iOS version and the device we are testing. Let's check out the list of available tools On the Pangu website. We can see that the website includes menu options for jailbreak devices and jailbreak iOS versions. I'm at the iOS 16 page, and the first tool we see is Sileem, which is a repository extractor. This is an online tool, which means we can install it directly through its mobile connectivity. Sileem can load Cydia without requiring system root, so it isn't really a full jailbreak. The next tool is Palera1n, which is a semi-tethered tool, meaning we need to run the jailbreak via RPC.
