Setting up a workspace - InDesign Tutorial
From the course: Designing a Book
Setting up a workspace
- [Instructor] Before we begin the project, we need to set up a workspace so that we have all the panels that we need close to hand. I'll come to the workspace picker, choose advanced, and then I'm going to return and reset advanced to its default state. There are some panels here that we don't need. Stroke, gradient, cc libraries, effects, so I'm going to tear those off and then close them. There are some others that we don't have open that we will need, info, I'll just drag that over and dock it with the current panels and then come down to utilities and scripts. The scripts panel comes with two other panels. I'll tear it off from there, close those other two and dock that. Now come to the workspace picker. Choose new workspace, I'll call it novel. And now throughout the course of working on the project, if you tear off panels, close them, you lose sight of where they are, you can at any time come to the Workspace picker and choose reset.
