Controlling text flow with Keep Options
- [Instructor] It's now time for us to take control of the text flow. What we're going to concentrate on here is adding in a page break before each of the chapter number and section number styles. The chapter number is the parent style to the section number. So, if we edit the parent style, right click on it, we'll come to Keep Options, Start Paragraph, On Next Page. Sometimes it'll be the left page, sometimes a right page. Let's see how that's affected the text. So far so good. Next, I want to add some spacing above all of my chapter opening pages. I won't be able to use Space Before for this because space before will be ignored when the paragraph occurs at the top of a page. Instead, I am going to Edit the chapter number styles and add a paragraph rule, Rule Above, let's turn that on. You can see that the rule starts out on the baseline of the type. I'm going to offset it 136 points, and that will move the text down about a quarter of the way into the page, or at least it would do…
