Onboarding Windows manually
- [Instructor] Let's look at how we can manually onboard our servers and clients into Defender For Endpoint. There are three ways to do this, and it depends on which operating system you want to onboard. Server 2019 or Windows 10 and later, so including Server 2022, Windows 11, we just need a script to manually onboard those. Windows Server 2012 R2 and 2016 will need a script and an installer. That's called the Unified Solution. And for our oldest systems that are supported, that's Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows 7 Service Pack 1, and Windows 8.1, we actually need to download System Center Endpoint Protection and the Microsoft Monitoring Agent. Let's start with our simplest one. That's going to be our most modern systems. We're going to go to settings, endpoints, and then if we scroll down this list here, we're looking for onboarding.
