- Caching in Resolve has gotten rather full-featured as the years have passed, especially with the addition of the fusion page. Now, we're going to cover quite a bit on this topic, but if you're the person who really needs to understand the full in and outs of caching, then part two of the Resolve user manual, that's where I'm going to point you to. Now, we're going to start with the smart mode, and as the name implies, it's smart. If you're fine that your computer chronically has the GPU status indicator turning red, like we did at the start of this chapter, then smart mode is a good option for you. We're going to pick up where we left off with OAC spot conformed, and we're also going to do a quick user interface reset. So we're going to go to this default start preset that ships with the exercise files, and I'm going to load that up, get us all started in the right place.
