How to conform XMLs
- So we've just gone through basically a little mini tutorial on how to prep a timeline for an XML workflow. Now, let's talk about how to receive that XML, which we frequently call conforming the XML. We want to make sure that our final timeline precisely matches what was approved by the director and the producer frame by frame, and I'm going to give you one quick technique for making sure that has happened. We're going to create a new project and we're going to call this XML Conform. And I'm going to jump into the media pool. In fact, I don't need to jump into the media pool. We'll just stay in the edit page. I'm going to go to File, Import, and then, here in DaVinci Resolve, it is Timeline. We're going to import a timeline. Then we're going to jump to the desktop where I saved that XML and we're going to load up that XML and click Open. Now, there's this big dialog box that opens up. XMLs can contain multiple timelines.…
