Deleting and relinking databases
- You may have noticed that there is no icon in the database sidebar to delete a database. That's because you can't delete databases within Davinci Resolve. But if you have a bunch of clients and you create a database for every client, or even for every job, you could end up with a very long list of databases. Instead of deleting, resolve allows you to disconnect a database, which simply removes the database from the sidebar, but the database still exists on your computer. Let me show you what I mean. Let's say we want to remove the delete me test DB database from our sidebar to tidy things up. What we need to do is right click on that database and choose disconnect from the menu. Resolve pops up a warning and we'll click on disconnect. The delete me database disappears from the sidebar, but notice that the delete me folders still exists on my desktop.
