Using the exercise files
- [Male Instructor] This course ships with exercise files for you to follow along with. If you find that you've got a two part download here's what you need to do in order to get to where I am for the rest of this course. First open up the part one after unzipping and open up the exercise files folder then open up your part two folder. And in there is a folder titled Lauralina you're going to go ahead, click and drag that into your media folder. And now you'll have everything you need in order to follow along with the exercise files the way I've outlined them here on my computer you can go ahead and delete this empty folder when you're done. In our exercise files folder we've got three sub folders; LUTs, Media, Projects plus a readme. I do urge you to read the readme, This has footage licensing information, which the TLDR on that is this footage is licensed for your personal instructional usage. So don't use it or post it on public forums and take credit for it as if it's yours, please do respect the copyright of the individual filmmakers who created these images. In the LUTs folder, as I open that up, you'll see there's nothing in there. That's just, if you want to experiment with your own LUTs, we talk about creating custom LUT paths in this course. So this is here for you if you want to use that for testing purposes. Next in the media folder, I've got three different projects that we're using. We've got Lauralina, which is the footage we just copied across, which is read raw footage, OAC, which is a PSA that you might be familiar with in our previous courses in this series. And then we've got Shadow of the Giants, which is a practice project from mixinglight.com where we've got several images for us to work with. Finally, in our projects folder, we've got several sub folders in the end resolve projects at the very end of this course, I've exported the end state of this entire course, which you can then import into Resolve. And my assumption here is, you know, how to import a .drp project, if not, definitely check out our Resolve Fundamentals course, where we walk you through understanding, working with projects and databases in DaVinci Resolve. Next is our start project. And this is the .drp I'll have you import in an early movie in this course, we also talk about template projects, I've got this folder in here it's empty, but if you want, you can go ahead and save the templates project that I saved on my desktop, feel free to save them in this folder. And finally, throughout this course I'm going to have you import timelines using the media in our media folder. That will then be used for a series of movies as we work through different topics.
