Speed changes: Fit to Fill

- I'm going to date myself by what I'm about to say, but when I started editing there was a single type of speed effect that you could do and that was a fit to fill effect. And that was in 1990 on like Avid version 2, so this is a classic type of editing effect, and it's still with us here in DaVinci Resolve. And for those of you that don't know it, let's see it in action. So what I'm going to do is first I'm going to continue from the previous movie, and I'm just going to press F to match frame up to the shot that we've got now. And I'm going to go ahead and delete that shot, but leave this space here. And then with the timeline active, I'm going to press the X button to mark this space. And I know that I want to take a section of this shot and fit it into that existing space. And let's say, I just want to take this section right here. So just as the pan starts, I'll mark it in there. And then I'll mark and out there.…
