- How do we use the HDR palette to control saturation? Because I love the HDR palette for saturation. And the answer is fairly straightforward. Let's first of all, kind of reset everything. In fact, I'm just going to reset this shot. So I'm going to come up to color, reset all grades and nodes. I'm going to Option+S to give us two nodes and I mentioned in the previous movie that I like to set up my image before I start feeding it into the HDR tool. And we're going to talk about using the HDR tool for brightness in a later movie. So let's just go into our normal primary wheels and I'm just going to pull up my midtones. Let's pull up our wave form here, and I'm just going to pull up my midtones, just to get some more general brightness but also bring down my highlights, just to give this image a little bit more oomph.
