- When you're editing in DaVinci Resolve or really any nonlinear software, the timeline you're working in can only have one frame size, one resolution, it's HD or 2K or UHD, right? But very often our sources are different frame sizes. You might have some sources that are 6K, some sources that are UHD, some sources that are HD all getting mixed and matched into the same timeline, and the question is, how does Resolve handle that, how is it scaling these things, and what if the, seems to be the automatic behavior of DaVinci Resolve isn't doing it the way you want it to be done? You can control that. What you have to do is open up your project preferences, Shift + 9, and we're going to come down to this image scaling section.
