- Oftentimes one of the biggest problems, especially in multi-person shoots where maybe an editor is handing off a timeline, one of the big problems is you load up another editor's timeline and some clips are offline, and then you have to send an email to your producer or to the other editor and give them a list of all the clips that are offline. And that means you have to copy and paste file names and time code numbers and all sorts of other nonsense, right? But it's not nonsense because it has to be done. How else are you going to get those clips back? Let me show you a nifty trick that is actually, it's more complicated than it needs to be, but once you know it, hopefully you won't forget it.
