Camera Raw: On set tips and tricks

- If you're working on set, especially in DaVinci Resolve, and you find yourself working with the DP and you're adjusting in DaVinci Resolve, let's say on the first day of the shoot, and you're adjusting your camera raw settings in Resolve. To get the image where you like it, here's a tip that's been shared with me by my good friend Rich Roddman, who's a fantastic DIT out of Tampa, Florida. Let's say we're working on this particular film. We've adjusted this ISO to 4000 in our previous movie. And then let's say we go ahead and start adjusting our exposure and maybe our color temperature to get this where we want it. And so now the DP's like, "Yes, that's what I want." Then a great on set practice is once you determine the camera raw settings that you really like, go back to your camera and apply those as the default in your camera for the rest of that shoot and now the project settings, the default project settings in…
