Essential system and user preferences

- As we get you started with DaVinci Resolve. Let's look at essential system and user preferences you'll want to configure for your setup. These preferences, except behaviors globally, that you generally don't want to change for every project. But if you already have a project open, that's fine. You can follow along since these are global, not project-based settings. Your global preferences are found under the DaVinci Resolve pulled them menu named Preferences. There two types of global preferences, System and User, which can be toggled between using this header here. Let's start with system preferences. These preferences tell Resolve about your hardware configuration. So, if I click in memory and GPU, I can change how much Ram gets allocated to Resolve and Fusion.
