- If you've been following along in this chapter, then you're ready to create your first project. And, you know, we've got a choice to make. What are we going to set as our project's default frame rate for the timelines we create in this commercial that I've provided to you. Now, I want to be very clear about something. In Resolve 17 and later, you're allowed to change your timeline frame rate. So this is really what we're setting as a default preference. But in Resolve 16 and earlier, that is completely not true. Once the project's timeline frame rate is set, the only way to change it is to delete every timeline and start from scratch. So if you're in a version prior to Resolve 17, you absolutely need to set this up correctly. And that's why we're so focused on it. So let's assume our client doesn't care about the final frame rate.
