Using the exercise files
- [Tutor] If you have access to the exercise files go ahead and download them. So you can follow along with this training. I've got it here on my desktop exercise files, resolve cut page. You can place them anywhere you want, but for convenience for the purposes of this training I am putting them on my desktop. You've got three folders and a READ ME we'll start from top to bottom. You've got a Bins and Timelines folder. And for this training, what we've got are a series of DRTs. That's DaVinci Resolve Timelines. You can import each of these when I tell you to within the training and they correspond to the chapter and movie number in each of those chapters. In Databases, if you want to restore the start point of this database go ahead and import this learning resolve cut page, resolve disc database in your projects manager. If you don't know how to do that you'll definitely want to check out our resolve fundamentals trainings. Or you can go ahead and just create a new disc database from within the projects manager. Projects in Media, this is what we're delivering to you as follow along footage. There's B-roll. So all of these clips have been provided to you for B-roll there's interviews. And then there are project files and these are DaVinci Resolve Project files. There'll be a couple points where I call out and so if you want to follow along with me, go ahead import this project into your existing database. And then you can pick up exactly where I am. The concept being you might be wanting to play around a little bit. Maybe you mess things up a little bit in terms of what I'm doing versus what you're doing. And this gives you a nice clean way to pick up where I am and continue following along. Finally, the Cut Page READ ME has some links and some licensing information. The general rule of thumb here is all this footage that we've provided to you comes courtesy of Michael Maser of Dario Films. And he's licensed this to us for your personal educational use. Only you are not licensed to bundle this, share this, upload it, or place it anywhere else where anybody else can take this footage and use it. Please do respect him. He put a lot of time and effort. He shot this in Thailand. And so definitely help us respect the work of the filmmaker and use it for its intended purposes.
