Trimming with the Speed Editor
- One of the really interesting things that you can do here with the Speed Editor is relatively sophisticated trimming operations, just using the combination of the keys and the jog wheel but it's very reliant on the Smart Edit Indicator. So to understand what's going to happen, you have to be extremely aware of where your Smart Edit Indicator is and its understanding of which it considers to be the in and outside of that. What am I talking about? It's easier if we take a look at the screens. If you're following along with the exercise files, be sure to import 04-07 Trimming which is really just the timeline at the end of chapter 3, but it gives us the assets we need to really practice these trimming techniques.
