- Wrapping up our discussion here on the fundamentals of editing in the color page, let's talk about slipping and rolling and to get us started on that, we're going to go to the very first shot in the timeline, Shift I. Let me turn off the audio here, so I'm going to mute it down. The opening shot, I don't think there's enough action on it, it's a little too subtle and I think I want to start this earlier. I'm happy with the edit point, I don't want to move the edit point, I just want to slip this image within the duration of this clip. And I've got this handy dandy little slip handle here, and you'll see it in every single shot in your timeline this little slip handle. So what you can do is click and then you're going to drag left or right to decide to move the shot earlier or later in the action. Now I want to move earlier.
