- One of the nice things about how the cut page is designed is it makes it very easy to get to a lot of different settings that otherwise would require opening up project settings and system settings. And so they've streamlined a lot of this process. The first thing we're going to do is take a look at how to set up your overall project, and that will then be in inherited by your timelines. So we're going to jump here into the cut page. In the upper right hand corner here is this Timeline Resolution quick menu. I'm going to click on it to pull down this dropdown, and I'm going to tell it, "Well, what do I want my timeline line to be?" The thing to remember here is your timeline resolution does not have to match your camera resolution. So if you're shooting 4K, but you know you're delivering a 1080p, then it is perfectly acceptable to choose a 1080p timeline and DaVinci Resolve will automatically shrink down that 4K to fit very…
