- As we wrap up this course, there are a couple things I want to emphasize. Number one, we've been really focused here on the editing process and you know the basics of nonlinear editing. Why, because the cut page for a lot of experienced professionals is very confusing. And then if you are new to editing it can also be confusing. So it kind of is in a no win situation. So I thought this title could be a useful introduction to nonlinear editors for those of you who haven't been familiar with nonlinear editing, as well as a useful introduction to experienced editors as to some of the strengths of the cut page. And I hope you've walked away with some of that. For me, the approach I've taken, I really like the cut page when you're putting your story together. When you're trying to figure out your selects when you're trying to figure out your shot order it has some really unique conventions that I really, really like. And…
