- [Instructor] It's nice to have a role model especially when you're starting to develop your career path. Who would make the best role model in data science? The answer to this question may depend on the career path you want to pursue. Regardless of the specialization, a good candidate could be someone at the pinnacle of their career, like a senior data scientist. Meet Dr. Gim, who is a senior data scientist at a major online retailer. I asked her what her typical day's like she started her answer with a disclaimer and said my day varies a lot, depending on the phase of the project I'm working on at the moment. If the project is in its initial stage I focus on collecting product requirements from business owners, product managers and engineers.
