- [Instructor] When working on a web development project, you or someone else should have gone through a typical UX process. You should have evaluated the business and ultimately created flushed out comps for a build-out direction. This part of the process not only saves you and your client time and money, but also is an important deliverable and will ultimately direct the build-out of the website. It's important to tackle the layout. This seems very obvious, but I've found too often that designers jumped straight into their work before giving any thought to the problem they are trying to solve. Design is about solving problems and these problems can't be resolved through gradients or shadows, but rather through a good layout and a clear hierarchy. Think about the content, the layout, and the functionality. Make sure those thoughts are in line with your client's goals and share them and get approvals early on, so…
