How do we create a design system?
- [Instructor] How do you create a design system? What are the artifacts behind a design system? Maybe we can start with a small file. Maybe with documentation. Maybe with code. We'll focus on design here. But most important, make sure you focus on the people. Focus on the developer, focus on the designer, maybe write the whys, the design principles behind your system, the how tos, all the guidance behind the ideas in your design system. Maybe apply design thinking to create empathy and really feel the pains of your both developer, or designer. Run frequent meetings to collect feedback, and learn from different teams. We call that radical listening. Make sure you're always listening. Maybe start small. I think that's the best approach when you create a design system.
