- [Instructor] Okay, so before we get going too far with Power BI, let's talk a little bit about the data lifecycle. So, on the far left-hand side, we have people that produce data, and they usually have some type of process and system in which to apply that process to, in order to put data into a system. So, if you think about somebody scanning inventory as it's coming in through a loading dock, if you think of a grocery clerk scanning items as they come through out of a person's cart, these are all people that are producing data using some predefined process, and then that data ultimately gets stored in some type of technology, so we have our data, and as those transactions are happening on a daily basis, we then have groups on the other side, which are data consumers, that typically follow some type of process for doing analytics and reporting.
