Designate a date table
- [Chris] Okay, so the next step in setting our model up to enable time intelligence functions is to designate a date table on our model. So, we went through and created a date table, but now we have to designate this table as a date table. So, what I'm going to do here is quite simply just click on the order date table, and I'm doing this through the table view. I'm going to go up to my table tools tab, and I'll find this button that says mark as date table. So, I'm going to click on that and then say mark as date table, and then now it's going to ask me to select a column inside of that particular table that is of the date data type. And right now there's only one, it's order date. So, I'm going to click on that. And we're going to notice it says it was validated successfully. So, you may ask yourself, well, what validation was it doing?
