Create a new team from scratch
We are going to create a new team in Microsoft Teams, and the result of this will be a new team site in SharePoint and a new Microsoft 365 group. And this new team is for Locations. It is always a best practice to make sure it doesn't already exist. So I'm going to go to search, choose Locations, choose Teams and Channels and press Enter. And you'll note there are no teams and channels called Locations. If you have some other keywords, if, for example, other people call this site search or whatever terms are being used for the effort that you're creating this team for, check those out as well, because I have more than once left a meeting where it wasn't clear who was going to create the new team in Microsoft Teams. But I know that this team doesn't already exist because I was asked to create it. So let's go back to Teams, click the Plus button, create team as opposed to create channel. You're creating a team from Scratch. And this is going to be called Locations. And the description…
