Understanding multiclouds

- Let's talk about multiclouds. Multiclouds are any public cloud that may or may not include on-premise systems, such as private clouds and traditional methods deployed to solve a specific set of business problems. An example of a multicloud is an enterprise that simultaneously leverages AWS, Microsoft, and Google to support its core business processes and has those applications working together. Of course, you can add on-premise systems to that mix as well, and they usually are included in most multicloud deployments. So what are the advantages and disadvantages of a multicloud? A significant advantage of a multicloud deployment would be the ability to leverage best of breed cloud services for business purposes. This means you're not limited to just the services offered by a single cloud provider, but can look at all cloud providers for specific services that may be a better fit, such as databases, AI, application deployment platforms, et cetera.
