(gentle music) - [Instructor] In this module, our focus is on routing, and you might recall that routing is the process of intelligently forwarding traffic from one network or subnet to another. And we'll begin with a look at routing fundamentals, and we'll see how the process of routing works. We'll talk about how we can have different sources of routing information and who to believe, and we'll also learn to interpret a routing table. Then in our next lesson, we'll take a look at how we as administrators can add route information to a router by statically configuring those routes. However, that's not scalable. A much more scalable solution is to have a dynamic routing protocol. And one of the most popular dynamic writing protocols out there is OSPF. And we'll specifically take a look at OSPF version two, which can be used for routing IP version four traffic.
