- Whenever someone goes through the trouble of filling out a form on a website, they want to do something. You need to let them know that the form worked. The worst web forms do nothing when they're filled out. This always makes me wonder did anything happen? Did they get my message? This gives me a bad first impression of the business. I'm now anxious that they'll contact me or get back in touch. If I have an immediate need for your services, I'll continue to hound you until I get some sort of confirmation. And if I don't need you right away, I might move on to your competitor to do that for help. Some web forms provide a confirmation message on the same page as the form. Others will actually send you off to another page. So here I've completed the form.
