OpenAI GPTs user interface
- [Instructor] Have you ever felt like, you are drowning in a sea of texts, long emails, lengthy meeting minutes, endless Slack discussions. Information overload is a common headache today. Action item generator KK helps you create a lease of clear and specific action items. Now let's bring KK to life. From the OpenAI GPT page, we want to go ahead and click the green button Create. You'll see two tab, Create and Configure. This setup allows us to create a custom GPT in two effective ways. We'll explore both of them in our course. Now using the Create option, you can create a new GPT by simply talking to the GPT builder about your vision. For example, "I want to build Action Item Generator KK to help individuals and teams transform their meeting minutes, emails, notes, and Slack discussions into actionable items." Now it's updating the backend according to our request. Cool, GPT builder is asking, "How about we name the GPT Action Item Generator KK?" Yes, I like it. After confirming the GPT name with you, it begins to generate a profile picture. At the time of this recording, OpenAI uses the DALL-E 3 model backend for this task. The builder is asking, "Do you like it or would you like any changes?" Well, I prefer to use my own image. So to upload my own, click the icon on the bottom left, next to the message input. Choose the image of KK. Cool, we can see the logo has been updated on the right preview. GPT builder is asking, "What type of tasks should it prioritize when creating action items?" Okay, you might say it's primary focus must be creating actionable steps from the given information. Ensure that your responses are professional, concise, and targeted. Maintain a word limit of no more than 300 words. Awesome. GPT builder is asking, "How should the GPT handle situations where the information provided is not sufficient?" So we should request the user to provide meeting minutes, emails, Slack messages, workshop summaries, or personal notes, if not provided. Cool. Now, GPT builder is asking, "Do we want to personalize the interaction?" Yes, for sure. Cool. Finally, the GPT builder ask us, "Do we want to give the GPT a trial run in the playground?" So I think KK is ready to talk to us. Let's click the Configure tab. You can see some details about KK having auto generated based on our dialogue. In a more technical lingo, list instructions are known as a prompt. Prompts are not unique to the OpenAI models. They are an entry point for all large language models. Here are some conversation starters auto generated as well. For example, convert this meeting notes into action items, or from the email, list action items with deadlines. Or you can say, summarize key tasks from this Slack messages for the teams. Okay, these are examples showing users how to talk to KK. Let's use them to kick off the conversation with KK in the next video.
