- [Lecturer] One important aspect of your land development design will be controlling the flow of rainfall or runoff. In this video, we'll look at how surfaces help you analyze and control runoff. To get started, I'll click the Analyze tab of the ribbon, and over here you'll see a dropdown for water features. I'll click that dropdown, and the first feature I want to show you is the Water Drop feature. I'll click that, select the surface that I want to analyze, which will be any of the red contours, and then we've got some settings for what's going to happen with these water drop paths. What layer do they come in? What type of object are they, et cetera. I'll click Okay. All those defaults are good, and we're going to take a look at lot 29. If I pick a point in the front of lot 29, you'll notice that the water flows out to the road, down into the gutter in front of the curb, and just like we would expect or hope, flows down the road. Now you'll notice that it does flow past this inlet.…
