Creating dimension substyles
- Dimension substyles allow you to style different types of dimensions with independent control. To understand this, let's type D+Enter to go into the Dimension Style Manager. Let's begin by modifying the Standard Style, and let's change the appearance of the arrowheads. Let's change the arrowheads to Architectural tick. Okay, and Close. So all of the arrowheads have changed, with the exception of this one, which was created with an override, so its properties are overridden and are going to stay the same no matter what. These baseline dimensions look fine, the aligned and linear dimensions look good; however, I don't really like the appearance of the arc length dimension or the angular dimension. And up here I don't really know what's going on with the diameter and radial dimensions. The tick marks aren't really appropriate there.
