- [Lecturer] Welcome to another tip and trick for AutoCAD. We're going to dive deeper into the offset command in this particular tip and trick. So we've got a new drawing for you. It's called 385-OFFSETCommand.dwg and you can download it from the library to follow along with this particular tips and tricks video. Now when you open up the drawing, you'll be in the model tab and you'll notice that we have some orange-colored objects in the model tab, but the layer is set to the offset layer. So see in the layers panel offset layer. Make sure that your current drafting layer is set to offset. There's a reason for that. So we're going to utilize the offset command that's on the Home tab, on the ribbon in the Modify panel. There's the offset command there. Just click on Offset and come into the drawing area. We are then going to right click and go to Layer, and you're going to set that to Current. You're then also going to specify…
