- [Instructor] We're going into another AutoCAD tip and trick now. And in this particular tip and trick, we're looking at AutoCAD layers. Layers are fundamental in your AutoCAD drawings, but sometimes you get more than one layer representing similar objects in your drawings. So this particular AutoCAD tip and trick is going to be covering how we merge layers in our drawings. Now, to do that, we've got a drawing for you. It's called 420 Merging Layers.dwg, and you know the drill. You download it from the library to follow along with this AutoCAD tip and trick. Once you've got the drawing open, just make sure that you are in the Model tab, and you'll see the little office floor plan with all the planting and the trees around it. Now, the planting and the trees are what we need to address because there's differing layers for planting plants and trees, landscaping and so on, and we want to make sure that everything is on the right layer.
